How can we tell kids to be kind when they see on the news adults running for the office who berate, belittle, exclude, and mock? It’s our own fault for accepting this code of conduct.
Embracing the politics talk — with kids
This election has handed us a ready-made opportunity to explore our civic values – a family philosophy class, if you will.
 
Kids need to learn self-regulation to succeed. Trump is teaching them the opposite.
Children can plainly see that he’s a bully, but the adults voting for him have to understand he’s teaching them behaviors that will hurt their chances for success.
