Japan Airlines plans to cut its widebody fleet by retiring many of its Boeing 777s, following a similar move announced recently by All Nippon Airways.

Faced with the need to move freight quickly and efficiently, Cathay Pacific Airways made the strategic decision to convert a B777-300ER passenger aircraft and partner with freight forwarder Unique Logistics to fly from Vietnam via Hong Kong to Pittsburgh. The new, 12-week cargo program takes advantage of Pittsburgh’s strategic North American location between the Northeast and Midwest in the U.S. and the speed at which cargo moves via Pittsburgh.
