By KELLY P. KISSEL | Metro editor Yep, it's cold outside, and if the temperature drops to 32 degrees at the Baton Rouge airport it will set a record for earliest freeze ever. We take a look at the odd weather we've had this year. The dry September, the wet summer, the (knock on wood) lack of hurricanes, a drop on the Mississippi River that exposed a shipwreck. You recall that nondisclosure agreement East Baton Rouge cited while saying it had to pass a stormwater utility fee quickly? It turns out that it doesn't exist. Metro Council members are not happy at the revelation, and some say "The trust is gone." Law officers are seeking a man who allegedly sucker-punched a one-legged cancer victim. It appears two drivers on a narrow Ascension Parish road clipped each other's rearview mirrors. Amid a discussion of who was at fault, and whether they should just let their insurance companies handle things, one motorist punched the other, knocking him out. The man injured has a prosthetic leg and is a Stage IV cancer patient. |
