South Carolina is not No. 1, nor No. 2 nor even No. 22 on the magazine's list of Best States. The great state of South Carolina ranks No. 42 on that list. We gasped a bit, we swallowed the bitter pill, and we started digging into the metrics. Verdict? We have room for growth in several areas. And we're not burying our heads in the metaphorical beach sand. | 
Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin, who've been friends for over 30 years, will appear on stage together as an intimate acoustic duo, swapping songs and sharing stories. These shows will feature the acclaimed songwriters performing material from their vast catalogs as well as some of their favorite songs. The pair previously toured together in 2013.
