This Earth Day, it's important to remember that we have one planet and two very different choices that will affect the climate for generations to come. We're at a pivot point in the United States and across the globe. Will we elect a government that protects our planet or exploits it for profit? Help us elect Democrats who will take action to save our climate!
While Democrats fight to reduce carbon emissions, build sustainable energy infrastructure, and protect the environment, Republicans continue to prop up the fossil fuel industry and exploit the planet for profit. President Biden has set forth a decisive plan to take corrective action on the climate and has:
🌎 Created the American Climate Corps to train young people in high-demand skills for jobs in the clean energy economy.
🌎 Passed the Inflation Reduction Act – the most significant legislation in U.S. history to tackle the climate crisis.
🌎 Set a goal of achieving a net-zero emissions economy by 2050.
Here in Oregon, thanks to the leadership of Governor Kotek and our Democratic legislators, we're on the path to achieve 100% clean electricity by 2040!
