One Simple Trick to Get More Customers By Clint Watson |
As we all adjust to the new normal after having been sequestered in our homes, we're all finding alternate ways to make the most of our time.So let's ask ourselves: How can we use this time to get better? How can we be of service and use?
I know, without a doubt that great art is being created around the world at this very moment. Perhaps by you! Our entire team is focused 100% on whatever we can do to help you market and sell more art.
With that in mind, we're focusing FineArtViews on sales and marketing ideas more than ever before. The following article was selected from our archives as it seems quite timely in the current situation and provides ideas we think you can use to improve your own art marketing.
-------------
Vincent Cassar writes:
"After a completed sale, send a personalized thank you card to each of your customers and mention that you are growing your business and would welcome referrals."
This is a big, huge, "duh". You already know this is a good idea.
However, look in the mirror and ask yourselfhonestly: Do you do it after every single, completed sale? [1]
If you don't, you're leaving money on the table - especiallyin art marketing since, unlike many industries, finding customers interested in a particular artist is like panning for gold. When your "gold panning" rewards you with a customer, treat her well and send those thank you notes.
Remember, Sharing Art Enriches Life.
Until next time, please remember that Fortune Favors the Bold Brush.

Sincerely,
Clint Watson BoldBrush/FASO Founder & Art Fanatic

[1] And I mean, everysingle sale you make. When I was in the gallery business, one of my daily tasks was to go through the previous day's sales and write such hand-written notes to my customers and it made a huge difference.
