CMS has released the new, revised, and deleted ICD-10-PCS codes for FY 2018. These new codes take effect October 1, 2017, and inpatient coders must be aware of all the updates to create compliant claims. Coders will need to learn new tables, as well as new characters in existing tables, to work with providers and ensure documentation is complete. This hour-long program will delve into the various code changes, including the new ICD-10-PCS table for Dilation of the cerebral ventricles, the new approach added to heart Replacement, and the many updates to the Bypass tables.
During this program, our expert speaker Shannon E. McCall, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-I, CEMC, CRC, CCDS, will help you sift through the significant coding and guideline changes that may impact your facility, identify new and revised code descriptions for the 2018 ICD-10-PCS code set, determine potential areas of documentation improvement for new and revised codes, and answer your questions during the live Q&A. |
