Better-than-expected labor market data could be standing in the way of rate cuts around the world. Markets ruled out a March rate cut by the Federal Reserve on Friday after data showed the U.S. economy added 353,000 jobs in January. The number was nearly double what was expected, which could make it more difficult for central bankers to contain inflation. Although inflation is falling in Europe, the U.K. and the U.S., whether it will continue to do so will largely depend on labor markets, analysts say.
