Join us for Session 2 on June 14, 2022 11:00AM ET, 08:00AM PT While Open Access has been a frequent topic of discussion in scholarly communications circles for more than a decade, relatively few librarians have had the opportunity to work closely with this content to develop best practices around collection management, discovery, and assessment of OA materials. Through panel discussions with librarians developing OA collections, this series will provide an overview of the current OA landscape and offer practical advice for implementing an OA strategy at your library. Session 2 - OA Trends in Academic Libraries Tuesday, June 14, 2022 11:00AM-12:00PM ET 8:00-09:00AM PT Library Journal will launch the second session of the series by presenting the results of its 2022 Open Access Survey, providing a snapshot of OA in academic libraries today and calling out trends indicated by the data. Then, panelists will share insights from their own experiences promoting OA, including Open Educational Resources (OER), in libraries. Join to assess whether your library is on trend, ahead of the curve or playing catch up. Session 2 Panel: - Betsy Garloch, Systems Librarian, Gannon University
- Megan Lowe, Director of University Libraries & Associate Professor, Northwestern State University
- Hannah Herrlich, Access Services Support & Online Learning Assistant, Walsh Library of Fordham University
- Meredith Schwartz, Editor-in-Chief, Library Journal (Session Moderator)
