Res Artis Welcomes a New Season of Growth

It’s exciting to join you all in the second quarter of the year! For many around the world, this period is synonymous with spring, a season of renewal, transformation, and the opportunity to bring fresh ideas to life, a spirit of change and growth that Res Artis is also embracing.

The current board stepped into Res Artis as the organization was celebrating its 30th anniversary. Recognizing the vast global reach it had attained, we embarked on a process to assess and respond to the evolving needs of the field. Through multiple surveys, we gained deeper insights into the priorities of our network of residencies. In collaboration with UCL, we also produced one of the most comprehensive research papers on the impact of COVID-19 on artist residencies, accessible here:

For the first time in our 32-year history, Res Artis will host our annual conference in Latin America! Titled Other Springs: Blooms from the Global South, the 2025 event will be hosted by long-standing Res Artis Member Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado FAAP and held in São Paulo, Brazil. The conference is sponsored by the Department of Culture, Economy, and Creative Industries, São Paulo State Government, and is supported by Associação Pinacoteca Arte e Cultura (APAC) and SP Negócios.
