Dear OZY Tribe,

Here at OZY we strive to bring you the new and the next, to have conversations that no one is having and to bring people together to discover their similarities and their differences.

Our primetime show Take on America with OZY and our annual festival of ideas OZY Fest have brought you fresh discussions on pressing topics from an array of smart people. The Thread podcast and the Around the World reporting series investigated surprising connections across time and geography.

And now? Black Women OWN the Conversation is our next chapter.

We are thrilled to announce that OZY has found a new partner in the Oprah Winfrey Network, and together we are creating an unprecedented new TV discussion show. Each town hall-style episode will feature an audience of 100 Black women from all walks of life, alongside celebrity panelists and experts.

The first four “speak-easy” episodes will focus on key issues including Beauty, Motherhood, Love and Mind, Body & Soul. There’ll be intimate dialogues, honest opinions and surprising solutions. We hope you’ll come away feeling and thinking about life a little differently.

Emmy-winning presenter and OZY co-founder Carlos Watson will host the new series in Atlanta. We invite everyone to enjoy the show, launching August 24.

Black Women OWN the Conversation is OZY’s fifth primetime show. We couldn’t be more excited that the Oprah Winfrey Network is our latest TV partner, joining PBS, the BBC and Amazon Prime.

As we begin taping next week, we’d love for you to join the conversation on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. And mark your calendars for August 24, the night of Black Women OWN the Conversation’s premiere! We have your Saturday nights covered.

Cheers,
Fay
