Dear OPTC Members, Friends and Families, Thank you for your patience during these unprecedented times. The OPTC Board has been meeting frequently with the Cook County Forest Preserve (CCFP) Management Team to collaborate for a safe Club opening. We are in process of gaining approvals from the CCFP General Superintendent and the Office of the President (to open in a manner that adheres to the CDC and State Guidelines for social-distancing and “safe-play” based on USTA COVID-19 guidelines). When we open, the initial days and weeks of play will be a “different experience” at OPTC, so thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we keep the health and safety of our Members and Staff as the top priority while we comply with all guidelines. When we attain approval to open (hopefully within the next few days), please prepare to comply with the following “until further notice” protocols (we expect these to ease as time goes by): - Only 10 people are allowed on the OPTC grounds any given time (no socializing, leave after play)
- Singles-play only, 60-minute time limit (when other Members are waiting to play)
- The Clubhouse is Closed to all – No access to bathrooms, locker rooms, or showers!
- Bring your own water and towels (the Club will not provide water or towels until further notice)
- Play is limited to OPTC Members only (no guests allowed until further notice)
- Each Member is required to have their own can of tennis balls
We are working diligently to bring back Tennis to the OPTC community, and we will communicate official opening as soon as we attain approval. Thanks again for your patience, Oak Park Tennis Center Board of Directors Richard Moore President OPTC |
