The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), says it is actively working with the communications and media services sectors to help them maintain critical services while continuing to provide important consumer safeguards during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While other companies have cut staff during the pandemic crisis, number two telecommunications operator in Australia Optus says it has put on 500 extra customer service staff and extended some of its COVID-19 related offers.
