Jail overcrowding: Violent crime in New Orleans is down sharply, but that decline is due in part to policies that have sent more people to jail. The population at the Orleans Justice Center is at its highest level in six years, putting a strain on resources. Missy Wilkinson has this report. Former Saint fights for his home: A former New Orleans Saints Hall of Famer is fighting to stay in his Marrero home, and the forces trying to evict him have their roots in the collapse of First NBC Bank seven years ago. Tony McAuley has the details. Jefferson flooding: More than 700 homes in Jefferson Parish flooded during Hurricane Francine, prompting questions about whether the parish's drainage system could have performed better.
