This is the biggest weekend for the University of Maine Black Bears in over a decade. UMaine’s two most popular programs — men’s ice hockey and women’s basketball — both enter into the NCAA championships this weekend. It all kicks off at noon Friday when the 15th seed UMaine women’s basketball team faces second seed Ohio State University. It’ll be on ESPN. Then the men’s hockey team will battle Boston University at the TD Garden in Boston. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on NESN and ESPN+.
