Rediscovered Gold Gold mines are hard to find. But tiny Osprey Gold (OS.V) may have found one — and a very sizeable one at that — hiding in plain sight. And with the drills about to turn, the story is about to come out. Dear John, You can make a fortune by discovering a gold mine. But that’s a very hard thing to do — unless the gold mine has been sitting there all along, in plain sight. Essentially, that’s just the opportunity that Osprey Gold (OS.V) is presenting investors right now: A major new gold mine that didn’t demand millions of dollars of drilling to discover…but only a little creative thinking. Following In The Footsteps Of A 650% Winner Gold discovery is tough. Re-discovery is easier…and sometimes much more profitable. That’s the lesson that was taught to investors when an upstart company called Atlantic Gold decided to re-imagine a series of high-grade gold deposits in Nova Scotia. Now, the region was well-known for its historic gold mines, where miners decades ago followed rich gold veins deep below surface. The gold deposits were well known and understood, although they were generally limited in size — there was only so much high-grade gold to be exploited. So when the mining industry started to focus on very large, lower-grade gold mines around the world — deposits that were close enough to the surface to be cheaply mined using open pits — the gold-rich mines of Nova Scotia were largely forgotten. Then came a company called Atlantic Gold. Starting around 2015, this company’s management team began re-imagining some of these high-grade mines as potential open-pit projects. What if, they asked, the rock around the high-grade quartz veins also carried decent gold grades? If so, then the entire, big deposit could be simply and cheaply scooped up and processed — rather than mined piece-meal through expensive underground mining focused on high grade ore. It was a bold idea, and not many people gave it much credence at the time. But those who did…those who invested in this upstart venture at this early stage…saw their money multiply more than seven times over. So far. Now there’s another company aiming to do the same thing. And they’ve locked up the largest producing mine in the entire region. Osprey Gold: Following A Proven Plan Atlantic Gold proved the concept of taking proven, high-grade gold deposits in Nova Scotia and rethinking them as larger, lower-grade open pit mines. And they’ve made shareholders rich in the process. Now a new company, Osprey Gold, is taking the same path — except that they’re starting off with a proven concept…and the largest mine in the region. You see, Osprey’s management team was able to secure the Goldenville Mine, the largest historic gold producer in Nova Scotia. It produced 212,300 ounces of high-grade gold up to 1942. And then it sat there, until Osprey was able to snap it up after Atlantic Gold proved the concept of open-pitting historic underground mines in the province. With the mine in hand, things began to move fast. First, the company knew that the Goldenville Mine had an historic inferred resource of 259,257 ounces of gold at 9.43 g/t gold (uncapped), plus another 40,517 ounces of gold in an indicated resource at 6.96 g/t gold (uncapped). But it was easy to see how quickly this resource could grow: There were eight holes drilled by previous owners that were never included in the resource. In addition, Osprey’s team could — for the first time — employ modern 3D estimation techniques and incorporate an open-pit scenario to recalculate the resource. The result: A 60% increase in inferred gold resources. Uncapped, the new inferred resource stands at 447,000 ounces at 4.96 g/t gold. This already makes Goldenville large enough to consider redevelopment as a new mine. But the story is just beginning… Drill Results About To Hit The Market From a geological standpoint, the potential upside at Goldenville (and three other gold projects Osprey picked up in Nova Scotia) is compelling. But what excites investors is that this potential could be realized very soon. Consider what’s about to happen: • After Osprey acquired Goldenville, they discovered core from no less than 20 drill holes that had never been assayed, much less included in any resource estimate… • That drill core is being assayed at this very moment, and results will be announced over the next few weeks… • Moreover, company geologists have confirmed that the mineralized structure remains open both along strike and at depth… • And the company will begin its own drill program to target this structure — as well as the ground surrounding the high-grade ore — during the upcoming summer. News will flow — a lot of it, and soon. And good drill results proving the concept once again will have investors remembering Atlantic Gold’s success…and buying Osprey while they can. Timing Is Everything Everyone knows that time is money. You certainly don’t need to tell me this: I invested in this venture long ago, because I knew the talented team behind the company very well. And I waited patiently for years as they searched for the right project. Now they have it. And not only are the drills about to turn, but assays from old drill holes will come in before they even get started. Osprey could be on the cusp of replicating the Atlantic Gold success story, and I can tell you that I’d rather be buying the company now than years ago. Time is short and the risk/reward opportunity right now in Osprey is exceptional. That’s why it’s one of my top recommendations in Gold Newsletter…and why I’m writing you about it now.
