La version franaise suit After icing one of the youngest teams in the league last season, the Ottawa 67s are getting set to kick off the 2018-19 OHL season. First up is the clubs training camp, with on-ice sessions starting on Wednesday, August 29 and running through Friday, August 31 as the team looks to build on what was accomplished last year. With another year of experience under their belts, the 67s will ice a lineup filled with a mix of new talent and skilled veterans, including several returnees selected in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, including Kody Clark, Kevin Bahl and Mitchell Hoelscher, as well as veterans Sasha Chmelevski, Austen Keating, Tye Felhaber and Noel Hoefenmayer, among others. Medicals and a player welcome dinner (August 27) and off-ice testing fitness testing (August 28) will kick-off the week, with the on-ice schedule as follows: Wednesday, Aug. 29 Red vs White Games* 9:00 AM and 3 PM, Minto Sports Complex, University of Ottawa Thursday, Aug. 30 3 vs. 3 tournament* Games at 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 3:00 PM and finals at 4:00 PM Friday, Aug. 31 Morning Skate at Minto Sports Complex (University of Ottawa) / Departure to Sudbury for Exhibition Game #1 *Open to public. The roster for training camp is as seen below. Please note it is subject to change at any time without notice. The 67s season will open their regular season schedule at home on Friday, September 21 against the Mississauga Steelheads. This years calendar has games to accommodate every schedule with the Barber Poles set to play 19 afternoon games as well as nine Friday evening games. Ottawa will be hosting two pre-season games, the first one on September 3 at the Cornwall Civic Complex against the Kingston Frontenacs and the second one on September 16 at the Ray Friel Rec. Complex against the Gatineau Olympiques. |
