Where's Johnny Jet? Greetings! I hope you had a happy Easter and smooth and safe travels if you took to the skies (or road). Last Wednesday, Natalie and I were making our way back to California from Europe after our Vantage river cruise. We flew British Airways from Amsterdam to London (45-minute flight) before hopping on one of American’s 777-300 for the 10.5-hour trek across the pond. American's 777-300 This beautiful plane is usually reserved for long-haul international flights but it does fly once a day between LA and Miami. The best coach seat in my opinion is either of the aisle seats in row 16. If you're lucky enough to fly business class like we did (we used system-wide upgrades that you get as an AAdvantage Executive Platinum member), you'll find AA's lie-flat seat one of the best, if not the best, on this route. Their food and service need some serious help but that’s a whole other story. Our BIG secret Natalie’s mom came out from Toronto for Easter and so we delivered a BIG secret that we’ve been keeping for the last few months. Both of our parents are over the moon like we are. More details to come in the next several months. 5 reasons people eat at McDonald’s when they travel Eating at McDonald’s when you’re traveling: It’s a topic that can really get people fired up. Is it a do or a don’t? While most travelers are traveling for the express purpose of experiencing new things, there are certain times when finding something familiar, like a McDonald’s restaurant, is just right—and that doesn’t make you a bad traveler, does it?! We checked in with frequent travelers who each have their own reasons for eating at McDonald’s when they’re traveling. Here’s what they had to say. The credit cards I carry The Starwood Amex 35K bonus has ended, but that's not the only travel credit card I carry on me. If you fly American Airlines, you'll want to look into this card. If you're just looking for a credit card that has a solid sign-up bonus, no foreign transaction fees and a chip (so it will work internationally), check out the Barclaycard Arrival Plus™ World Elite MasterCard®.
