As a follow-up to our last message to you on June 2, we'd like to update you on our next steps.
We believe technology can be a force for good and has the potential to improve lives. The content we create every day is in service of those beliefs but, if we are serious about making a difference, it must include diverse voices and perspectives. Frankly, we haven’t done a good enough job of this.
For example, challenges like the digital divide have an outsized impact on our BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) readers and we must commit to address those and other issues in our content or we’ve failed.
Our Pledge to Improve Our Diversity & Inclusion outlines the specific actions we are taking as part of this commitment.
