Can we agree that January has just been a challenging month for everyone here in Ottawa? Let's turn things around. Come visit us to get inspired for your next project, our volunteers are ready to chat DIY with you! We've got a coffee machine that's waiting to be used and sometimes on Saturdays we're spoiled with treats from our awesome volunteer, Kevin, the Muffin Man.

WorkSpace Safety 101 and 201 workshops are back!
In January postponed our workshops due to the public health situation, but we are slowly introducing them again. More workshops are coming soon, so stay tuned! 

Our Workshop Safety courses will train you on the safe use of tools and give you ample time to try them out. Reminder that we have a vaccination policy where all participants and instructors need to be vaxxed.

🛠 Workshop Safety 101 is a required course for anyone who wants to use band saw, mitre saw, drill press, and drill in our WorkSpace.

🛠 Workshop Safety 201 is a course is for anyone who wants to use the following tools in our WorkSpace: router, jointer, planer, and table saw.

We've implemented a new booking system for the OTL WorkSpace to secure your spot! Just visit our website, select an available date and time, provide your contact details and submit. You'll receive an email with your pending reservation and another when it's confirmed.

Tool Library

January tends to be a slower month for us at OTL which just meant we had more time to improve your experience at the tool library!
 
Check out how our volunteers have been organizing and labeling the tools. We hope the next time you come in for your DIY project needs it will be easier to find your desired tools.
