Yesterday, we conducted our first Fantasy mock draft following the NFL Draft. The picks used on players whose stocks were affected by the Draft were very eye-opening, starting with Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the second round. Edwards-Helaire could be a Fantasy monster in the Chiefs offense, but should he really be drafted 6 rounds ahead of incumbent Damien Williams, who fell to the 8th round? The rest of the top rookie RBs were selected in rounds 4-6, while the first rookie WR, Jalen Reagor, wasn't picked until the end of round 7. We analyzed the PPR mock results before answering questions about our picks in the Mock Draft Exit Interviews. I was asked about my selection of Aaron Jones at the end of the second round, which I believe is a solid landing spot for an extremely efficient RB who has averaged a touchdown per game in his career.
Also, we unveiled our consensus wide receiver rankings on today's podcast. Walking through the top 50 rankings, we revealed a strategy that could work perfectly for rounds 3-5 in all formats.
The FFT crew unveils their updated consensus wide receiver rankings. Amari Cooper and Courtland Sutton fell, but are they still worth a 4th round pick?
