Subaru Pacific Supports Students' Clothing Drive Did you know that 84% of donated clothes end up in the landfill? Or that it takes more than 710 gallons of water to make a single cotton t-shirt? When textiles go to waste, so do all the resources it takes to produce them which causes an outsized impact on our environment and the climate.
For their Climate Solutions Campaign project, the HEAR Club from the California Academy of Mathematics and Science in Carson, CA, is taking action on textile waste by launching a clothing drive at Subaru Pacific! To make sure the donated clothes don't go to waste, these awesome students will be upcycling the clothes into dog toys for Gone to the Dogs Rescue!
Help the HEAR Club students by donating your old clothes today! Now thru February 20, you can drop off your old clothes at Subaru Pacific's donation box, located at 14700 Hindry Ave. in Hawthorne.
Big thanks to our longtime partners at Subaru Pacific and LAcarGUY for their continued support of our students and the environment!
