Calif. agency rules on employee-mandated vaccinations

California's Department of Fair Employment and Housing has stated that employers may require employees to receive FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccinations, although they must also offer reasonable accommodation for those with disabilities or sincerely held religious beliefs and not retaliate against those who request applicable accommodations. However, employers must be careful when mandating currently available COVID-19 vaccinations, which have earned emergency use authorization but not FDA approval, Tao Leung writes.
