Kyiv is looking for European Union funds to boost support for its domestic arms industry and tap into additional non-contracted capacities, Ukraine’s Minister of Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshin, told Euractiv’s Alexandra Brzozowski. On the same day, EU ambassadors struck a political deal on using windfall profits from Russian frozen assets to buy weapons for Ukraine. Last but not least, Google search data suggests reduced interest in June’s EU elections compared to 2019, with the centre-right EPP group much more frequently searched for than its main centre-left rivals. Euractiv’s Nikolaus J. Kurmayer has more. |
