The IEC’s national results centre in Pretoria is a hive of activity as voting results have started trickling in from across the country with the ANC showing a lead.

 
ANC leads in Gauteng, DA ahead in Western Cape

With just under 10% of the vote counted in Gauteng, the ANC was leading with over 120 000 votes, or just over 53% of the vote counted.

 
IEC launches probe into claims of voter fraud, insists processes are stringent

The IEC has launched an investigation as it attempts to calm speculations about possible voter fraud with reports of some individuals being able to vote twice.
