Owner of Lafayette's Hub City Diner recalls early lessons on 'true grit'

BY DEANNA B. NARVESON | Staff writer

Jason Redmon has worked at Lafayette's Hub City Diner for decades.

The Bunkie native spoke with Jan Swift of the Discover Lafayette podcast this week about working for his uncle on his sweet potato farm in Evergreen where he “caught the skips,” making sure that the sweet potato roots were properly placed in the ground.

Redmon still thinks about the lessons he learned from his uncle about having true grit and has maintained that strong work ethic to this day.

It's what lead him as he developed Hub City Diner. Check out Kristin Askelson's full story about Redmon here.
