Owner of Rock 'n' Bowl to partner with LCG on 208-apartment, mixed-use project downtown

by Adam Daigle | Acadiana business editor

Good morning, Acadiana business news readers. Let's get down to the business news of the day.

In what would be the largest residential project by far in downtown Lafayette, the owner of Rock ‘n’ Bowl will partner with Lafayette Consolidated Government to build a mixed-use project at the corners of Lee Avenue and Convent Street that will include 208 apartments.

LCG officials and owner Johnny Blancher announced the project late Tuesday, one that will include relocating the Lafayette City Court and Lafayette City Marshal offices and include a city-owned parking garage in the middle of the development. It will also include adjacent lots that Blancher purchased back in 2019.

More details need to be worked out on this project, including if Blancher will own or lease the property and where the city court and marshal offices will be relocated.

You can read the full story here.

Have a great day.
