The activist group P.A.I.N. criticized a potential settlement that would allow members of the Sackler family to maintain billions of dollars of their personal wealth and face no criminal liability for its role in the opioid epidemic.
The group, led by artist Nan Goldin, called the proposed settlement “justice for sale, not justice for all.”
