Hi John, I've been in San Francisco this week with a small bag of materials for on-site making and working. Well, make that two bags because I have to pack a lunch! My child is concerned that I can't consolidate my affairs into one bag, pointing out that I might have too many things for a short day away from home. Their bag is filled with just water and food! But I need my coffee, water bottle, meal, art supplies, more snacks, notebook, chapstick, headphones, etc. etc. It's clear we do not experience life the same way :) “Just in case” is the curse of packing. - Alexandra Potter This got me thinking about packing lists and how I used to pack up my kids' art supplies for our trips. This is for you if you have a trip coming up or want to know the most important supplies for when you have to pare things down.
