Researchers from the security firm Lookout say they have discovered malware families propagated from Pakistan that can infect both Android and iOS devices and are being used to steal information from government officials, diplomats, military personnel and activists.

About 36,000 homes across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth will be declared "ready to connect" via HFC to the national broadband network by the end of June.
