I think about that tweet about how we just want to live in precedented times again all the time. The various daily horrors that plague the world, from literal plague to the metaphorical, have taken a toll. And while it can be difficult to wrap our brains around the fact that we are still living in unprecedented times, seemingly ordinary, everyday events are still happening.
Babies are taking their first steps, people are falling in love, celebrating birthdays, trying out new recipes, switching careers and trying to find joy in the little things. And even though so many of these things have been made more difficult as a result of the pandemic and the sociopolitical climate in which we live, we are out here trying our best. We cling to the last shreds of hope that we can find, and we try to find ways to make this life a little easier. I've rounded up a few of my favorite articles of the week below, including a few that will hopefully help to make your day a bit brighter and hopeful for the future.
