Parents arrested in daughter's gruesome death

By Bob Warren

Parents accused of murder: The parents of a woman who died a bizarre and horrific death in East Feliciana Parish have now been charged with her murder. Lacey Fletcher, 36, was found dead, covered with sores and maggots, slumped into a crater in the family’s couch. Authorities said she had been on that couch for years.

The Honey Badger is born: You’ve heard this by now, but just in case . . . the Saints have signed Tyrann Mathieu. His nickname, of course, is “Honey Badger.” Ever wonder how he got that nickname? It started with a viral video. . .

Honoring the Praline Queen: Our food writer Ian McNulty comes through today with a really "sweet” story. Loretta Harrison, lovingly known as the “Praline Queen,” died in February after a battle with cancer. Her family is now picking up where she left off, serving those buttery Loretta’s Authentic Pralines to an enthusiastic crowd at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, where Loretta’s got its start decades ago.

Rock science: A flaming meteor streaked across the sky over southwest Mississippi late last month. It was moving at, uh, around 35,000 mph. Now, folks are hunting for the charcoal-like remnants.

Hope you enjoyed today’s Lunch Line. Thanks for taking a break with us. And of course, be sure to check out NOLA.com for more news throughout the day.
