In his first five months in office, Gov. Jeff Landry has cited either "executive privilege" or "deliberative process" to deny about one-quarter of the public records requests he has received. Critics claim the governor's office is breaking the law in withholding those documents. Landry argues that releasing those records stifles discussion of pending legislation and other matters.
