Some sad news to share. Longtime member Paul French, 88, passed away last night in Naples after a brief battle with cancer.  Paul had been a member of OPTC since 1943!  He will be remembered for never forgetting his single sticks and as a long-time participant in the annual USTA Seniors Midwest Claycourt Championship. Paul and his wife Janet (and their 3 children) have been involved in tennis for their entire married life - in fact, Paul and Janet met at OPTC. He was a competitive player in many national tournaments and was always ranked in his age group.
 
There will not be a memorial service, but his obituary is expected to appear in the Chicago Tribune Wed/Thurs...

We will keep Paul and his family in our thoughts and prayers.
