Dear John,
When students living in low-income communities graduate from high school, they are more likely to gain skilled employment, earn a better living, and live longer, healthier lives—but their families aren’t the only ones with a reason to celebrate.
Improving graduation rates benefits us all by building a more equitable economy, increasing civic engagement, lowering public healthcare costs, and breaking the cycle of poverty. If we increased our national graduation rate by just 1%, the estimated savings to Canadians would be over $7.7 billion annually*—and that doesn’t take into account what graduates will go on to contribute throughout their lives.
The award-winning Pathways to Education Program is provided to high school students living in low-income communities across Canada. Our combination of academic, financial, social, and one-on-one supports is proven to remove barriers to graduation and empower students to pursue meaningful employment. There are currently 31 locations across Canada helping thousands of youth graduate from high school and break the cycle of poverty.
A better future for Canada starts with high school graduation. Your donation will help more students get there.
