| Dear Lord,
When I entertain sorrow, my strength is zapped. But when I remember that You are with me, Iâm filled with joyâa joy that renews my strength. Your strength empowers me to be resilient so I can rise above my troubles.
When I think of You instead of my disappointments, I can skip my pity party and accept Your invitation to trust You as You turn my disappointments into joy.
Iâm awed that You, the Lord Most High, would even care to listen to me. But You do! This makes You my hero, a hero who saves me and rejoices over me.
Iâm amazed that my Creator is glad to know me and delights in my love for Him. How can my heart be troubled when Iâve found such love and grace?
Lord, You renew me with Your love and celebrate me with shouts of joy. Itâs astounding to know that like a mom cradling her beloved child, You sing a song of love over me.
With my heart filled with gratitude, it is easy to keep my joy intact. And because You are with me, I will constantly share my heart and needs with You. I will trust You and thank You for my every circumstance. Because I belong to You, Jesus Christ, I know You have a plan to work out every difficulty for my good.
You do this because You love me. And because You love me, I love You right back.
