The Front Page: Tulane's warning sign, S&WB tapped out, transit news of the weird

By Drew Broach | Deputy metro editor

WARNING SIGN: Five months after Tulane University's School of Medicine dismissed a Black female doctor who had filed a discrimination lawsuit against the school, a national accrediting group has placed the institution on probation. That makes Tulane one of only six medical training institutions currently on probation out of 865 regulated by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

TAPPED OUT: New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board officials plan to start warning 250 customers per day to pay up, call for help or face the prospect of losing water service. It's part of the utility's effort to to recoup $53.4 million in past due fees.

NO FARE: In the News of the Weird Department, a New Orleans woman has been arrested on charges of hijacking a Jefferson Transit bus at gunpoint. Wierd
