| | | | 8CPA heads of agreement signed | | The landmark announcement was made this morning at APP24. | | The Pharmacy Guild of Australia and the Federal Government have announced the signing of the Heads of Agreement for the 8th Community Pharmacy Agreement, at the 2024 Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference (APP2024), now underway on the Gold Coast.
National Guild President Trent Twomey has confirmed that the negotiating team has secured an additional $3 billion investment into the pharmacy sector.
Twomey said the parties would "use their best endeavours to agree an 8CPA commencing from 01 July 2024", with the finer details of the agreement to be negotiated over the coming weeks.
