The National Board of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia has today unanimously elected Western Australian pharmacist Dr Fei Sim as the organisation's next National President.
She replaces outgoing President, Associate Professor Chris Freeman, who congratulated Dr Sim on her election, saying "PSA has worked incredibly hard to achieve greater diversity within the organisation over the last five years...I am proud to be handing the torch to PSA's very first female National President".
The meeting also saw Michelle Lynch returned as National Vice President alongside Dr Shane Jackson, also elected as a National Vice President, while Renae Beardmore and Anne Todd will be departing the National Board after "impactful tenures," the Society said.
PSA CEO Mark Kinsela paid tribute to Freeman's achievements since his appointment in 2018, saying he had been a "fierce advocate for pharmacists around Australia".
