The Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) has announced a major overhaul of its pharmacy assessment, replacing the Knowledge Assessment of Pharmaceutical Sciences (KAPS) exam with the new Overseas Pharmacist Readiness Assessment (OPRA).
The redesign introduces significant changes in question selection and scoring methodology, revises content areas, and reduces both the exam duration and fees.
The final KAPS exam will take place in Nov 2024, with OPRA launching in Mar 2025.
The APC will continue collaborating with subject matter experts to develop and review exam questions.
Additionally, the APC has commissioned a comprehensive pilot with its delivery partners to test all operating systems and ensure a seamless candidate experience.
