I wasn't supposed to be there ...
Perfect Timing “I wasn’t supposed to be here,” I told the Cornell Student athletes last Wednesday. A hurricane coming to Florida caused me to fly to upstate NY a day earlier for a speaking engagement to the Watkins Glen school district.
Because I had extra time, I contacted Cornell Wrestling Coach Mike Grey who had reached out via my website five days earlier and asked me to speak to his team sometime if I was ever in the area.
It turned out to be perfect timing and a divine appointment. I was able to visit my alma mater, Cornell University, and speak to his amazing wrestling team and other athletes (including the Cornell Women’s Lax Team) and coaches who attended my impromptu talk.
It was a special time and great experience connecting with old friends, friend’s daughters who are on the lax team, and new friends and champions who are part of the Cornell Family.
I wasn’t supposed to be there but the way it all worked out, I’m pretty sure I was.
