I asked, What can be done to protect libraries, cultural properties, and artifacts? Sadly, seven years later, the world is witnessing a new conflict, and I am again asking what can we do as librarians to protect, preserve, save information, special collections, cultural artifacts, and rare items in times of conflict?

WEB-FIRST REVIEWS OF BOOKS AND MEDIA
** PLEASE DESCRIBE THIS IMAGE ** Run on Your New Legs, Vol. 1, by Wataru Midori, is one of this week's starred graphic novels. "This manga will especially appeal to readers looking for a sports manga with realist emotions (with downs as well as ups), whose protagonist recovers from a major trauma and navigates life with disability." Parasomnia, by Cullen Bunn with illustrations by Andrea Mutti, is another starred graphic novel. "This volume, which collects issues 1 through 4 of the “Parasomnia” series, is highly recommended for fans of Bunn, Mutti, stories of parents seeking their missing children, or parallel worlds." Sally Hepworth's The Younger Wife is this week's starred mystery. "As much a mystery as a character study of three young women coping with love, loss, and trauma while struggling with the discovery of being deceived by the one they count on most. This title will appeal to fans of Jamie Brenner, Jodi Picoult, and Celeste Ng." And River of the Gods: Genius, Courage, and Betrayal in the Search for the Source of the Nile, by Candace Millard, is this week's starred history title. "It’s been nearly six years since popular Millard published Hero of the Empire, and eager fans and armchair travelers will gladly sign up for this enthralling and heartbreaking adventure.
