With two recent announcements EPA has approved labels for over-the-top dicamba applications (XtendiMax, Engenia and Tavium herbicides) in 2023 in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota.

How will big South American production impact U.S. producers who are preparing to plant a crop? “The 2022 rally was all about lower supplies,” says Steve Freed with ADM Investor Services. “2023 is going to be about lower demand as prices try to compete with the fact all these other origins are now cheaper than us.”

“We don’t need to rewrite the entire farm bill,” says House Ag Committee Chairman Glenn Thompson. “We’re comfortable with many parts in the 2018 bill and there aren’t many tweaks or changes, instead things we need to protect and invest in more.”
