Due to obvious reasons, all Basel fairs have been cancelled. As online viewing rooms take on the art world by storm – photo basel launches its very first virtual fair – including some augmented reality highlights, an extensive conversations program and two special exhibitions – during the original dates of the fair – from June 17th – 21st, 2020. This virtual edition has to be understood not as a replacement of the physical fair – but merely as an extension to it. It remains clear that no virtual art fair, can replace the IRL experiences of any art event. However, we are proud to bring you the works of over 400 artists exhibited by 38 selected galleries right onto your screens over the next few days.
