exhibition of the 2022 winner of the Photo Days x FFP x Iandé artist residency in Brazil November 4 . December 3, 2023, at Atelier PGR, 1 villa Gaudelet, Paris 11e

During the 2022 portfolio readings, Italian photographer Costanza Gastaldi has won an artistic residency in Brazil, a collaboration between Photo Days, the Iandé collective and the Paranapiacaba Festival. Her images speak of a distant, colonial past, of the legends that have come down to us today, and of the future stakes involved in preserving the Mata Atlantica and its eco-system.

Supporting training and education
As part of its efforts to promote contemporary creation, Photo Days has developed its training and education activities. Each year, the festival organizes several days of free portfolio readings, where emerging and established photographers present their work to experts and industry professionals, to discuss their artistic approach and receive constructive feedback. Also, in partnership with Leica, Photo Days is organizing two workshops at the Atelier de Sèvres, conducted by Matthias Pasquet.

Events
- Photo Days organizes meetings with artists, upon reservation. Every Tuesday evening, the Leica Store in the Village Royal (Paris 8) opens its doors to the public, inviting them to meet 4 or 5 artists in a relaxed, private setting.
- This year, in partnership with Beaux-Arts Magazine and Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, Photo Days is organizing a seminar bringing together experts, researchers and artists to explore the many dimensions of the interaction between photography and artificial intelligence.
- Presentation of the Jean-Conrad and Isabelle Lemaître StudioCollector Prize by collector Haro Cumbusyan, in partnership with Jeu de Paume and École du Fresnoy.
Grand Prize and Instagram contest
- A biennial photographic Grand Prix, endowed with €15,000, reserved for professional photographers, with the ambition of refreshing the vision of the French capital through the eyes of great artists, using themes that change with each edition.
- Amateur competition on Instagram in partnership with Leica and Initial Labo: #photomove
