The Columbus distillery uses its traditional gin recipe and infuses it with in-season, vine-ripened Ohio strawberries. Northeast Ohio experts talk about the future of food at Pechakucha Night

Hear what local experts say about the future of food at Pechakucha Night Cleveland Vol. 41 on Thursday, Aug. 1, at Truss Event Venue. Tickets are free though donations are welcome. A Japanese concept, “pechakucha” loosely means “chit chat.” Think speaker presentations meet speed-dating. During a Pechakucha event, 10 to 12 speakers talk about a chosen topic. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams offering special free chili topping at scoop shops
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, an Ohio-based ice cream brand, has teamed up with Chinese food company Fly By Jing for a collaboration at its various Scoop Shops. The Telos Food Truck is a new concept from the owners of 808 Shave Ice, with locations in Avon, Fairview Park and Strongsville. Greater Cleveland locals Nick Kudej, his wife Kayla Kudej and brother Alexi Kudej decided to transform one of the 808 Shave Ice trucks into the Telos concept, serving Nathans Hot Dogs with basic condiments, frozen or fresh lemonade and chips on the side. Chardon BrewFest is scheduled
