At least, the songs that anyone who voted in triple j's Hottest 100 of the 2010s reckon are the best.
As is common practice these days, it's actually a Hottest 200. The songs ranked 200 – 101
will play out on triple j through next week, starting Tuesday. Then the big countdown on Saturday.
There's still time to get your votes in. You can't complain about the results if you don't
have your say on what should be in there.
Putting together my final list of votes was a harrowing experience. Cutting Solange, Daft Punk and Julia Jacklin songs felt unconscionable.
So, it'll be interesting to see how our tricky decisions all align, and which song is held in the highest esteem when it's all over.
It will be frustrating. It will be thrilling. I cannot wait.
