Planet Fitness Opens 230 New Clubs, Reports 33 Percent Growth in 2018 Revenue

Planet Fitness reported its 48th consecutive quarter of positive system-wide same-store sales growth in 2018. The opening of 230 clubs in 2018 drove increases of more than 30 percent in the company's quarterly and year-end sales.

Former Planet Fitness Manager Names CEO Chris Rondeau, Top Executives, in Lawsuit Over 'Debaucherous' Culture Claims

Former Planet Fitness employee Casey Willard recently amended her lawsuit against the company's corporate office to identify multiple company executives, including CEO Chris Rondeau, as defendants. Willard claims the executives were aware that female employees were subjected to sexually inappropriate comments and unwanted sexual propositions and did little to stop the behavior.

Nautilus Reports 2.3 Percent Decline in 2018 Revenue

Nautilus CEO Bruce Cazenave attributed the company's 2018 struggles to a 30 percent decline in direct segment sales. This decline is related to lower-than-expected sales for Nautilus' refreshed Max Trainer product line, which features its new Max Intelligence digital offering.
