NATIONAL: Registration is now open for the Event Service Professionals Association's 2021 annual conference, taking place Jan. 21-22. The virtual event will provide a forum for hotel, convention center, and CVB professionals to collaborate in preparation for the return of face-to-face events. It will feature breakout sessions, think stands, keynote presentations, and network lounges. 

DETROIT: Rockbridge has completed an expansive renovation of the 251-suite Embassy Suites by Hilton Detroit Troy/Auburn Hills in Troy, Mich. The renovation includes an update of all guest rooms, public spaces, restaurants, and meeting rooms. The hotel features roughly 7,000 square feet of event space, plus a business center, pool, market, and fitness center.

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: The 38th annual Miami Film Festival will take place March 5-14 with both online and in-theater experiences. The festival highlights the work of distinguished filmmakers and talents like Pedro Almodvar, Patricia Clarkson, Abel Ferrara, and
Andy Garcia.

TAMPA: Visit Tampa Bay has launched the Hybrid Meeting Grant designed to help meeting planners offset unanticipated expenses associated with the pivot to hybrid and virtual events. Grant recipients must hold their event at a partner facility within Hillsborough county and are determined based on specific criteria including estimated economic impact and anticipated event attendance.

NEW YORK: BC and Dick Clark Productions announced that Billy Porter will join Ryan Seacrest and Lucy Hale in Times Square for Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2021. The 49th annual New Year's Eve countdown will air live on Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC. More details on hosts and performances will be revealed over the next
few weeks.
