The US Department of Transportation has issued an emergency order banning all airline passengers in the country from carrying Samsung Galaxy Note7 devices.

While the recall of the Note7 has been variously estimated by third parties as costing Samsung up to US$17 billion, another aspect of the discontinuation is a loss of future sales revenue and profit.

In case you wondered whether Telstra would make its Pixel Android OS updates available at the same time as Google, the good news is that the big carrier will.

The antivirus arm of Symantec, McAfee has found an updated banking trojan that requests a selfie replete with an ID card or passport photo page and then steals your funds and identity.

It seems that we are continuing to be spoiled for home storage capacity. Seagate has upped the ante on mobile 2.5” hard disk storage, offering a new 2TB FireCuda hybrid Flash/HDD (SSHD) and a 5TB BarraCuda HDD.

And of course, there's plenty more so for all the news visit www.itwire.com.

Have a great day!
